Metals

Metal scrap is used in a variety of ways. Types of metal scrap include nickel, cobalt and copper. They arise when recycling transformers, for example, and are further processed in other systems. An additional effect of this process: The transformer oil replaces the fuel oil in the smelting operation. In addition to non-ferrous-metal trading and transformer recycling, synergies in this business segment arise from alloying. The Jacob Metal Group manufactures gunmetal, brass and bronze alloys according to DIN standards and individual customer requirements. Pyrometallurgical processes also generate heat, and even this forms part of the cycle by serving to generate electrical energy and heat.
